The Eagle’s Nest

The Eagle’s Nest was designed for corporate meetings/events, golf/ski groups, destination family and friend gatherings, small intimate weddings and other special celebrations (inquire for possible up charges). The Jo Daviess County overnight maximum occupancy for the Eagle’s Nest is 16 people (including children). We advertise our lowest rate – residential for 16 overnight guests.
The Eagle’s Nest offers affordable accommodations and more value for your money with its extraordinary 12,000 square feet, the largest private vacation rental home in the area. As you enter the main level great room, you immediately feel the spaciousness and luxury. The floor to ceiling windows provide natural lighting and panoramic views of our surrounding wooded acreage. The centerpiece of the great room is the floor to ceiling indigenous limestone wood burning fireplace (wood supplied). It is surrounded by the warmth of the leather furniture, large distinctive area rugs and natural hickory hardwood floors.
To the left is an intimate library nook. The main level has an open concept floor plan with twin dining tables (seating for 16) and a full equipped gourmet kitchen. The L-shaped granite counter (seats 12) is perfect for buffet style serving. Step out onto the 115 ft. main level wood deck (tables and seating for 26) where you will find a 52” gas grill. Enjoy your favorite beverage, a barbeque, and the outdoors.
The Eagle’s Nest has 8 bedrooms. Six of the bedrooms have two king beds and two of the bedrooms, off the kitchen main level, are handicap accessible each with one king bed. Every bedroom is decorated with Galena themed décor, custom coverlets, pillow shams, and window coverings with a room darkening feature. You will find extra blankets, down comforters and pillows. Each en-suite bathroom has a jetted tub, two sinks, and a walk-in custom designed tiled shower with 9 ft. ceilings.
There is ample room in the lower level (4000 sq. ft.). The room is set up with a 70” HD TV, pool table, poker table, air hockey, foosball, and ping-pong table. You will find a 27’ bar with (seating for 13), three pub tables (seating for 12), a bar sink, dishwasher, beverage ware, an additional full size refrigerator, and available for your convenience, a laundry room. The southwest wall opens to the 70’patio with 4 double sliding glass doors. This will welcome guests onto the furnished patio (tables and seating for 24) for alfresco dining. In the center of the patio stands the towering 60’ stone fireplace chimney. You may elect to take a walk on the designated path through the private wooded property or gather your friends/family and play volleyball on the sand court. At the end of your day enjoy the eight-person hot tub under cover in the gazebo located just off the patio or roast marshmallows over the open firepit.
The Eagle’s Nest offers convenient access to the Galena area and its many golf courses inside and outside of the Galena Territory Association.
